on the evening of november 24, the signing ceremony of smxmu “the thousand and one nights” paragon-crowne education fund was successfully held at j2-208. the coincidence that it was also the night of the thanksgiving day made the ceremony even more touching and meaningful. distinguished guests invited include mr. su hao, the general manager of xiamen paragon crowne plaza, smxmu’s emba alumni, ms. hong qiuxia, the deputy party secretary of smxmu, prof. lin derong, the dean of smxmu’s tourism and hotel management department, and ms. lin jing, the director of smxmu’s alumni office. mr. wu guangxi, the deputy secretary of smxmu’s youth league committee hosted the ceremony.
prof. lin derong started the ceremony with a wonderful speech. he made a brief introduction of the basic facts of the fund and then expressed his great gratitude to mr. su hao and xiamen paragon crowne plaza’s strong support to the tourism and hotel management department. he encouraged the students to learn from mr. su hao. after the speech, ms. hong qiuxia and mr. su hao, on behalf of the two parties, signed the agreement of smxmu “the thousand and one nights” paragon-crowne education fund.
after the ceremony, mr. su hao gave the students a delightful lecture, “secrets that could be shared”. in the lecture, mr. su hao shared his personal history of struggle from an ordinary xmu student to the general manager of a famous brand hotel. students were greatly absorbed by the stories and the fresh ideas and concepts.
